In October 2014, had the honor of representing Topcon Positioning Systems at the 2014 CyArk 500 Annual Summit, hosted at the National Archives in Washington DC.

Delivered presentation highlighting three (3) projects from around the world on which Topcon's 3D laser scanning (LiDAR) technology was instrumental in documenting historical heritage sites.

Photo taken while field training exercise was being conducted at Iowa Western Community College, Council Bluffs, IA in January 1999. The school was among the first educational institutions in the region to implement GPS technology in its land surveying curriculum.

I was invited to speak as part of a panel at the Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors spring workshop,Lake Ozark, MO, in May 2013. Covering the benefits, technology, and industry applications behind (3D) laser scanning, my presentation, titled: How to be a Better Consumer of 3D laser scvanning services, focused on key issuues to consider when soliciting the services of a scanning service provider.

Together with my partner Joe Esker, Midwest Precise, Teutopolis, IL, the Pro-Stake was specifically developed to make stake out operations for concrete contractors using surveying Total Stations faster and more accurate. Patent awarded in November, 1993.
